Bethanys Bible curriculum is one of the elements contributing to our students spiritual development. In addition to each student's academic classes, they are they are required to participate in the Bible curriculum. In the elementary grades, we use the Starways curriculum published by the Association of Christian Schools International. This curriculum provides a detailed overview of all the Old Testament and New Testament stories during the first through sixth grade years. Students will have a solid understanding of the Bibles key stories and the character-building examples they provide. The Junior High curricula includes course-work studying the book of Proverbs during seventh grade, and participation in the Jr. Summit program in eighth grade. The Jr. Summit program teaches students about a Christian worldview and contrasts it to current secular worldviews. During their high school years, students must choose at least two years of Bible class electives. There are several electives available including Israeli History, Ethics, Apologetics and Biblical Psychology. In their senior year, students will also participate in the Summit Ministries course which teaches Christian worldview issues and perspectives. For information on Summit Ministries, visit www.summit.org.
