Jim and Julie Miller - Parents
In early 2003 we were looking for a private school for our daughter Laura who would be entering kindergarten in the fall.  Since we live in New Prague, we checked out schools within a 15-mile radius of our home.  Friends of ours who live in Bloomington called us one day and said, “Have you ever thought of sending Laura to Bethany Academy here in Bloomington”?  Honestly, that was out of our 15-mile circle – way out.  However, we soon realized that it wasn’t out of God’s circle.  Within 24 hours, we had 5 affirmations telling us to consider Bethany as our daughter’s school.  We drove Laura to kindergarten (32 miles one way) in September of 2003 and have never looked back.  This school has been such a blessing, both spiritually and academically.  When we think of family, we think of Bethany Academy – it’s that special.

Loretta Bowser - Student
I am Lorretta Bowser and I am a fifth grader at Bethany Academy. I am new this year, so there are so many things that are different from my other school that I attended previously (a public school in Lakeville ).The difference about Bethany and my other school is that at Bethany we pray to the LORD and we never did that in my other school. The sad part was that I knew so little about the LORD until I came to Bethany. It’s so wonderful that I have the LORD to help me through my life! Bethany Academy has so many nice teachers like Mr. Mick. He is my favorite teacher because he makes learning fun and easier to learn (but sometimes it gets just a little bit harder than I want it to be). Other teachers I like  would be Mrs. Allison and Mr. Rosenbush. Both of them helped to plan the elementary concert. They worked so hard on it, and to tell the truth this was the best concert that I have ever been to in my life. I made a lot more friends than I made last year at my other school. My friends and I are not afraid to tell or ask about anything that we don’t know or are afraid to ask about. They all know what’s happening around the school because they have been here mostly since kindergarten. I like everything that is at Bethany more than what we had at my other school. I love everything but my favorite thing would be on Fridays in the morning. Every Friday we have chapel. What we do in chapel is sing worship songs, and then one of the teachers comes on the big, humongous  stage and teaches all of the elementary kids a lesson that’s in the Bible somewhere. I love that because then I learn even more about GOD! Now I know that’s why I came to Bethany Academy, it’s because GOD sent me to HIM!
